Terence McCormack Ltd was founded by the late Terry McCormack in 1953 and in 1979 Terence McCormack (Ireland) Ltd was set up. Donal and Ruairi McCormack, who are both qualified engineers and sons of the founder, joined the company in the mid 1970's whilst PJ Burns also a qualified engineer, became an employee of the company in 1990. The three are now fully responsible for the strategic direction and management of the group.
The Group prides itself in being a client-focused organisation, which devotes as much attention and resource to a 20 Tonne contract as to a 1,000 Tonne contract. The current output of the company is |

 |
| approximately 4,500 Tonnes per annum with a turnover approaching £5,500.000. The company is capable of handling all types of structural steel framed structures e.g. Portal Frames, Multi-Storey, Hip Roofed buildings, trussed Roof buildings etc. The group has also been responsible for many large cladding contracts an example of which is the Fruit of the Loom, Buncrana, County Donegal. |
 |
| The Group has a well-equipped drawing office with both Strucad and Xsteel stations which are linked to the automatic drill line. Following the completion of fabrication the steel is then shot blasted and sprayed to specification in a modern spray shop. All personnel are encouraged to avail of both in-house and institutional training in developing technologies. |

| In it's efforts to continually improve its service to customers the group has commissioned two customer satisfaction surveys during the past four years with excellent results. These surveys confirmed that customers felt that the Group's strengths lay in its experienced workforce, its production versatility its location on the main Belfast/Dublin road, its accreditation to ISO 9001 (2000) and with SCQA, its expertise in the use of CAD systems the close involvement of the directors at all stages of a contract. |

The Group assures all its customers that they can gain access to a director at any time to discuss a problem which may arise in the fabrication or erection of a contract and that the problem will be dealt with effectively and efficiently. In July 2005 Donal McCormack was elected as President of the BCSA (British Constructional Steelwork Association) and thus became the first person from Ireland to hold this prestigious post.
He has just completed a most successful term leading this very highly regarded trade association, which represents all major fabricators throughout Britain and Ireland. |
